If the grenades didn't work remember to use your Grappleshot to force them to raise their shields. A line of four Jackals with shields raised are waiting for you, but again, grenades make quick work of them. Refresh and prepare to use your grenades once again as you pass through the door on the far end of the room. You can also find grenades and a bit of cover in the red elevator on the left. If you find that you're getting overwhelmed you can take cover on the right wall behind the structures and slowly move up. Enter with a bang by tossing a grenade or by using a nearby fusion coil. There are four Brutes (two close to you, two in the back of the room) accompanied by at least three Grunts. Things can get sticky in this next room and you'll want to use the element of surprise to your advantage. Leave this short area through the door marked by the waypoint. Immediately to the right of the door is a Bulldog shotgun if you didn't pick one up earlier or need more ammo. Return to the previous room and get more grenades if you're out.īefore proceeding through the door on the left in the corridor, continue through the room to the next dead-end room where the Grunts and Jackal came from. Finish off any remaining Banished with quick headshots. You can use your other weapons too, of course, but the grenades will make the fastest work of them. You'll come across five Grunts and one Jackal all bunched up. Use them immediately to quickly eliminate the enemies also entering the next corridor. The room after the elevator is also littered with grenades. Walk forward and pick up your first collectible, a UNSC Audio Log - Spartan Log 01 - Infinity Down. Not long after two Brutes will pass through the doors to join them in the fight.Įxit the elevator and you'll be greeted by a beeping sound. You can use a plasma weapon to get rid of their shields (the Pulse Carbine is great for this) or you can use the grapple shot to briefly knock away their shields, giving you a chance to shoot their soft bodies. Four Jackals are near the door on the raised platform. Use the Grappleshot to get across the gap. To the left is another kinetic ammo crate and weapon rack.
After that, you'll come across a huge room. There's plenty to go around in this ship. Remember to use the Scanner and look for any weapons or ammo you may specifically want. These are the first of many Brutes you'll meet. The Mangler can do a number on Chief, so keep your distance and try to land headshots. Here you'll meet two to three standard Brutes equipped with Manglers. The next room raises the challenge a notch. There are two Grunts on the lower platform. This way you can give the three Grunts on the raised platform a nice, explosive surprise. Ammo crates have four charges that deplete based on how much ammo you need.Ĭonsider picking up a fusion coil before you go any further. You'll find them peppered throughout Zeta Halo. These can have Kinetic, Plasma, Shock, Hardlight, or Power ammo. The next corridor introduces you to the Ammo Crate. The hologram features an image of Atriox.
You'll also hear part of a speech from Escharum, one of the Banished leaders. In the next room, you'll have time to pick up other weapons if you'd like. Grab a fusion coil by walking up to it and picking it up like you would a weapon. You can also use the fusion coil in the room as an explosive if you're having trouble getting him down. A shot will stop his charge and then two more will kill him. This is definitely the time to use the Bulldog. Once you enter the next corridor to go deeper into the ship you'll be greeted by a Brute Berserker who gets his own flash intro cinematic. When you proceed to the lower level of the control room two more Grunts in purple armor will enter the room. You can make quick work of them with Pistol headshots, melee, or a Grappleshot melee attack.
You'll find four Grunts in the control room. Both have three Grunts on each side, though you don't need to worry about slaying all of them unless you want to. You can enter through either the left or right side of the room. You can mix and match with this loadout, but the Pistol and Bulldog Shotgun combo makes easy pickings of the upcoming enemies.Īfter eliminating the four Grunts on the ground floor use the Grappleshot to get yourself up to the higher level where you can access the hangar's control room. This will be helpful in an upcoming challenge. Replace your Assault Rifle with the Bulldog. Legendary Strategy Tip: Before you proceed upward toward the red control room, use the Grappleshot to pull yourself up to the suspended platform above the area you entered the arena.
